ProgDVB for Windows Features:

ProgDVB - the universal and very power software for watching digital TV and listening to radio channels.

ProgDVB and ProgTV is two is 2 independent user interfaces which can work together from one folder at one list of channels, settings etc. ProgTV is aimed at use with remote control(HTPC). ProgDVB contains more functions but is intended for use by a mouse. Thus it is very convenient to use both interfaces.

For reasonable money I can prepare the custom ProgTV/ProgDVB version (for Windows or/and the Android) for your requirements. For example with those, and only those functions which are required for your an IPTV/OTT or the specific device. It is also possible create new player based on my engine and 15+ years of experience in digital TV. Or even mine participation in your project in similar area. I will be glad to discuss any ideas.

ProgDVB for Windows Info:

ProgTV for Windows

ProgTV3 uses WinUI3 and requires windows 10 or 11. Many functions are implemented much better than in the old ProgTV2. Such as a guide, main menu, multi window. ProgTV 2 still good if you use Window 7. Same license for both versions.

ProgTV have 21 days trial period for test all function. After that, you can buy it or continue to use it with restrictions. No multi channel, recording, scheduler,... but still good for simple playback of channels.

TV and Radio channels

ProgTV the universal application for viewing of various types of channels, but it doesn't include any channels. But supported really many formats and you can try near any source of TV or radio.

At first I am recomend looking for local IPTV by means of m3u from provider or blind search in ProgTV. Also you can receive DVB TV from Windows PC over ProgDVB (software for Windows)

AC3

Dolby doesn't allow to decode AC3 sound free of charge.  Google and Microsoft isn't bought that and of course it is expensive to me.

Some possibilityes:

1. If your device support AC3 decoding then  you can try change playback mode in ProgTV in the menu of the channel. At least in MediaPlayer + the mode must be good.

2. If your receiver or TV is able to decode AC3, then try enable "SPDIF through PCM" mode in ProgTV Options→Playback. It will allow to decode a sound on this device.

3. The channel can have alternative soundtracks in not AC3 format (look in menu of the channel) or other versions of the same channel without AC3.

4. Most the most universal way - using of the external player for ac3 channels. For example ac3 of the version mxplayer. The player can be chosen in the ProgTV settings.

I hope In the future will more possibilityes watch TV with AC3 a sound.

Logs

I need log files of ProgTV for debug most case of problem. For collect log you must:

1. Enable it in Options->Debug->Logs=Verbose

2. Restart ProgTV

3. Repeat crash or problem.

4. Options->Debug->Export logs for any folder.

5. Zip all files and subfolders of Logs folder and send me over email or form. 

PIP

Watching more one channel simultaneously increases device requirements and may not work on too old ones.

There are several possibilities for use.

1. A long click (or right mouse button in Windows) on the channel in the list.

2. Bind PIP Button in Controls- Binds

3. During the recording of one channel, switches to another.

What are the differences between Pro and the free version?

1. Record function

2. Banner on start (2-3 seconds).

3. I 'm planning some complex function in the future. For example PIP.

All other functions is total free.

ProgDVB for Windows Information:

ProgDVB and ProgTV requires Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.7.2 or higher, you can download it here.

Shareware versions have 21 days free trial period. Also you can use free version for test of most functions.

Both Standard and Professional versions of ProgDVB include MPEG-2 shareware codec by Elecard. You have to register it after 21 days (Start->ProgDVB->Elecard Registrator) or use some alternative codecs. For AVC and H.264 support you should register Elecard AVC H.264 plugin for ProgDVB. The registration is done with the Serial Number provided in your purchase confirmation email.. 

You can get the basic functionality of ProgDVB free of charge without restrictions with ProgDVB Standard edition.

ProgTV is new user interface of ProgDVB aimed for comfortable using over remote control (HTPC). If you use mouse and keyboard then ProgDVB is best chose.

ProgDVB Network Edition is small size and cheaper version for Internet TV, IPTV, Torrent TV, OTT,... Without DVB devices supporting.
